There comes the winter – Ashish Kumar Pathak
Less noise, less hurry, less to show
real beauty, in the letting go,
We walk slower, coats are tight
we find, in cold, a sharper light
The world in Cashmere, soft yet deep
All the lakes lie still, in glassy sleep
City wears a tailored frost
edges trimmed, no line lost
Breathe like silk in cold air
All the moments held with care
Morning comes in porcelain
Pale, unhurried and so thin
Winter doesn’t beg to please
But bringing you so simple ease
The Tea steams in quiet cup
The world surely buttoned up
Snow not falling, but refined
Settled Surface design
The trees stand etched in ink and bone
Each branch a line, precise and Sewn
The light withdraws, the air so clear
A silver lush upon christmasy part of the year.
